You are eligible for full benefits Medi-Cal if you meet all of the requirements such as being a California resident and having a low income. Medi-Cal is California's health insurance program for low-income individuals and families. It includes primary care, specialty care, vision, dental, prescription drugs, mental health, substance use, hospitalizations and long term care. There is no cost for those with incomes below certain levels, and those with higher incomes can qualify if their health care expenses are high enough. Medi- Cal Access Program

If you are pregnant, you may be eligible for Medi-Cal Access Program (MCAP). MCAP is for middle-income families who do not have health insurance and whose income is too high for no-cost Medi-Cal. MCAP provides pregnant women with comprehensive coverage for a low cost with no copayments or deductibles for its covered services. Their newborns may be covered by the Medi-Cal Access Infant Program. MCAP is also available to women who have other health insurance plans that doesn't cover maternity services. Covered CA

You may be eligible for Covered California. Covered California is California’s health insurance marketplace. In Covered California's website you can apply for Medi-Cal as well as private insurance. Covered CA is for individuals or families with incomes up to 400% FPL, financial assistance is available to help pay for their health insurance premiums. Individuals with incomes up to 250% FPL also get help with copayments or out of pocket costs. Many immigrant visa categories are also eligible for Covered CA. Community Health Center

Community Health Centers are health care clinics that provide health services regardless of insurance or immigration status. Individuals pay for services on a sliding scale based on their income. Individuals can receive immunizations, primary and sometimes specialty care, prescription drugs, and sometimes dental. Children can obtain well-child visits and immunizations at no-cost. County Health Care Services

You may be eligible for County Health Care Services. California counties provide services to certain persons not eligible or locked out of other health services. Some counties even provide services for their undocumented residents. Counties must also provide access to public health services (e.g. immunizations, health education, and TB screenings) to anyone, regardless of state or county residency or immigration status. Income eligibility for these programs varies and some of these services may not be free. For more information please contact your county office.

Family Planning Access, Care, and Treatment

You may be eligible for Family Planning Access, Care, and Treatment. Family PACT is a family planning program that helps eligible Californians avoid getting pregnant or causing a pregnancy when they are not ready. Services provided include confidential family planning visits for birth control counseling and methods that also may include: emergency contraceptive pills prevention, screening and treatment of most sexually transmitted infections, HIV testing and counseling, limited cervical cancer screening. Women, Infants, and Children

You may be eligible for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) provides services like foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low-income families. Pregnant, postpartum and breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 are eligible. Click here to learn more about WIC.

AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP)

If you have HIV, you may be eligible for the AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP). ADAP helps ensure that people living with HIV and AIDS who are uninsured and underinsured have access to medication.
