On December 31, 2025, a California federal district court \u201cvacated\u201d\/ undid the termination of TPS for Honduras, Nicaragua, and Nepal. However, the government appealed this decision to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, which on February 9, 2026, \u201cstayed\u201d\/ <a href=\"https:\/\/www.courthousenews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/tps-v-noem-ninth-circuit-stay-order.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">blocked<\/a> the positive district court decision. This means that while the appeal case is pending, TPS holders from Honduras, Nepal, and Nicaragua will not have TPS protection or related work authorization.<\/p><p>The court case led by the National TPS Alliance and seven individuals continues, <em>Nationale TPS-Allianz gegen Noem<\/em>, 26-199 (9th Cir.). The plaintiffs are represented by the National Day Laborer Organizing Network (NDLON), the ACLU Foundations of Northern and Southern California, the Center for Immigration Law and Policy (CILP) at the UCLA School of Law, and the Haitian Bridge Alliance.<\/p><p>Der Rechtsstreit wird fortgesetzt, und in den kommenden Tagen und Wochen werden weitere Einzelheiten bekannt werden.
