Join us in honoring immigrant women essential workers by demanding that our elected leaders pass fair and humane immigration reform that will put 11 million undocumented workers on a fast-track to citizenship, most of whom are essential workers.
Things you can do to help, right now:
- Call your senators 1-888-204-8353. Demand they act quickly to provide a pathway to citizenship for essential workers and their families, Dreamers and Temporary Protected Status (TPS) holders.
- Record a short video. Tell us about an immigrant woman in your life and why America is their home.
Immigrant women essential workers are making invaluable sacrifices and contributions to our communities on the frontlines of the COVID-19 crisis. They make up a huge portion of our nation's caregivers, janitors, healthcare workers, and other essential workers.
Yet, they are poorer on average than their male counterparts, are more likely to be forced into single parenthood as a result of harsh detention and deportation policies and they are more vulnerable to sexual harassment and violence at the workplace and in detention.
Immigrant women deserve to be respected, protected and paid.
