On December 31, 2025, a California federal district court \u201cvacated\u201d\/ undid the termination of TPS for Honduras, Nicaragua, and Nepal. However, the government appealed this decision to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, which on February 9, 2026, \u201cstayed\u201d\/ <a href=\"https:\/\/www.courthousenews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/tps-v-noem-ninth-circuit-stay-order.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">blocked<\/a> the positive district court decision. This means that while the appeal case is pending, TPS holders from Honduras, Nepal, and Nicaragua will not have TPS protection or related work authorization.<\/p><p>The court case led by the National TPS Alliance and seven individuals continues, <em>National TPS Alliance v. Noem<\/em>, 26-199 (9th Cir.).
