Nagbibigay ang TPS ng pansamantalang katayuan sa imigrasyon, proteksyon mula sa deportasyon, at pahintulot na magtrabaho sa US

A previous TPS program required residence in the U.S. since January 9, 2013.  Now TPS applicants from Sudan living in the U.S. since March 1, 2022, are eligible to apply for TPS for Sudan.

On April 19, 2022, DHS posted the Paunawa ng Federal Register with information about TPS for Sudan. Sudanese TPS applicants must submit a TPS application (Form I-821) between April 19, 2022, and October 19, 2023.

TPS holders who currently have TPS until December 31, 2022, will be able to extend their TPS status until October 19, 2023, by applying under the new TPS program. The Federal Register notice recommends that Sudanese who currently have TPS should apply for the new TPS program by checking the box stating that they are filing TPS for the first time.

Maaari kang mag-aplay para sa awtorisasyon sa trabaho (Form I-765) with your TPS application or before the end of the TPS registration period, October 19, 2023. Due to the processing backlogs at USCIS, DHS recommends filing your work authorization as soon as possible.

Kumilos, at Iparinig ang Iyong Boses!

TPS only provides temporary protections for immigrants, many of whom have lived and worked in the U.S. for years. Take action by urging Congress to deliver a path to citizenship for TPS holders, Dreamers, farm workers, and all people who call America home. Remember – it’s important not to travel outside the U.S. without applying for and receiving advance parole.
