Update: On March 3, 2026, the Trump administration 决定 to terminate TPS for Yemeni TPS holders. The Trump Department of Homeland Security scheduled TPS from Yemen to end effective May 4, 2026, causing TPS holders to soon lose TPS and related work authorization unless a court decides otherwise.

Yes, on March 19, 2026, a group of Yemeni immigrants filed a lawsuit challenging the Trump administration’s termination of TPS for Yemen in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. The case is Abdo Doe v. Mullin, No. 1:26-cv-02280-DEH.
The lawsuit will continue and additional details will be known in the coming weeks. The judge has not yet made a decision on this case. Asylum applications may still be filed.
