• Unless a court decides otherwise, After May 4, 2026, Yemeni TPS holders will not be able to use expired TPS work permits as proof of work authorization.

Yes, on March 19, 2026, a group of Yemeni immigrants filed a lawsuit challenging the Trump administration’s termination of TPS for Yemen in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. The case is Abdo Doe v. Mullin, No. 1:26-cv-02280-DEH.

The lawsuit will continue and additional details will be known in the coming weeks. The judge has not yet made a decision on this case. Asylum applications may still be filed.
